Alaska Child Nutrition Programs just completed the development of a new cookbook for schools, child care centers, and Head Start agencies called Make It Local: Recipes for Alaska’s Children (PDF). The recipes all use locally grown or harvested foods, meet USDA nutritional requirements for the federal programs, and have been standardized.
